As Rosh Hashanah approaches, I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a happy and healthy New Year, from all of us at the East Valley JCC. May your homes be filled with laughter and joy and may you enjoy the company of friends and family.

We are excited to bring you another year of exciting programming, which includes a new season of Open Beit Midrash and Terrific Tuesdays, as well as many new programs, such as Sunday Funday, parenting classes and Jewish Sparks. We will continue our Ladles of Love kosher food meal distribution, which is the only such program in the entire Valley and we will continue our Lone Soldier Project, which helps support soldiers in the IDF.

The EVJCC continues to be a proud home to the NAEYC-accredited Early Childhood Learning Center, which has launched a new STEAM curriculum this fall, as well as to summer and school break camps.

Our Ilene Blau Teen Leadership Institute is growing and we are proud to provide a home for BBYO, as well as a meeting space for Generations After, Hadassah and Na’amat. This year, we will bring to the Valley a new multi-faith program, as well as our new Israeli movie series and world-renowned arts exhibit.

We’ll also be presenting our Arts & Culture series, which you won’t want to miss! And to top it all off, we will have an amazing Klezmer Musical Festival and Yiddish Culture Day on Jan 13, 2019 at the EVJCC.

In appreciation of our community, you are cordially invited to our Pillars of Our Community award ceremony at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the East Valley JCC.

There are over 700 programs, events and sessions that we have planned for you this year. So please come and enjoy the EVJCC like you have never done before.

We wish you all a great year and hope to see you at the EVJCC!

Shana Tova,
Rabbi Michael Beyo, EVJCC CEO
