The East Valley JCC is excited to announce that Stephania Alvarez has been promoted to Camp Rimon Director and Early Childhood Assistant Director.
Stephania has been an integral part of the EVJCC since 2009, when she first joined the staff as a counselor-in-training.
“Stephania brings a wealth of early childhood knowledge and experience to this role, and she remains my right-hand partner in every sense, says Pam Morris, ELC Director. “I have known Stephania during her entire career at the EVJCC, both as her colleague and supervisor. Each year her ability to engage with the children and parents has grown and she is an asset to our center.”
Stephania, whose previous position was Early Childhood and Youth Coordinator, says that the opportunity is especially meaningful to her because the JCC has been such an important part of her life for many years.
“From those early days to now stepping into leadership, it has been an incredible journey filled with growth, learning and memories,” she says. “I’m incredibly thankful for the trust and support that has allowed me to take on these new responsibilities. Being able to grow within an organization that values children, families, education and community is something I truly admire and appreciate.”
