From “Jaws” to “The Godfather,” James Bond to “The Birds,” “Midnight Express” to “Breaking Bad,” take a journey with leading travel journalist Dan Fellner to see the places around the world where some of the most iconic movies and TV series were filmed. We’ll also visit the childhood haunts of The Beatles, Buddy Holly and learn about Elvis Presley’s surprising connection to Judaism.
About the Speaker:
Dan Fellner is a faculty associate at Arizona State University and eight-time Fulbright Fellow who has taught journalism and communications at nine universities in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia. He’s also a travel journalist and photographer who specializes in writing about unique Jewish communities around the world. He’s visited and written about more than 120 countries on all seven continents and had more than 160 travel articles published. His work has appeared in such publications as the Jerusalem Post, Hadassah Magazine, The Forward, USA Today and the Arizona Republic.
