Come and hear the stories of three historical heroines: Sacagawea, Malintzin and Florence Baker. The actions of these multilingual women, who rose from slavery, extended empires and added to their cultural and political impact in North America and Africa. In addition to works from Phoenix Art Museum and other sources, John Groves will share his personal collection of artworks depicting these amazing women, a collection that includes photographs, lithographs, paintings, murals, sculptures and more.
