This class explores the ethical and moral teachings of Judaism and their relevance in contemporary society. Through discussion and analysis, students will gain a deeper understanding of how Jewish ethical teachings can guide decision-making and behavior in today’s complex world.
This class will delve into the 613 Commandments (mitzvot) in Judaism, which form the foundation of Jewish law and ethical practice. Students will study the origins, categorization and interpretations of those commandments, as outlined in the Torah and expanded upon by rabbinic scholars, and discuss the relevance and application of these mitzvot in contemporary life. |
