
Tuesdays at the J is a group for individuals and couples ages 55-plus who meet weekly to enjoy presentations on a variety of topics, such as art, music, books and culture. All sessions are free and no membership is required. The program starts at 10 a.m. with refreshments and the presentations are 10:30-11:30 a.m.
Julian Wyatt is a native of Worcester, Massachusetts. He served 30 years in the United States Navy from 1980 – 2010 and is a proud Jewish Combat Veteran. His highest award was the Bronze Star, from his combat tour in Iraq, 2007- 2008. He is the current Commander of Jewish War Veterans Post 619 out of Sun Lakes.
Julian is the director of the Prison Yoga Project in Phoenix, whereby he teaches Mindfulness meditation and Yoga to inmates in Maricopa County since 2016, as a volunteer. This is his way of giving back to the community. He is also a published Author; “Freedom from Within: A Prison Karma Yoga Experience” and “Becoming Jewish.”
Julian currently serves as a Master Life and Health Coach in his spare time. He is a graduate of the Health Coach Institute. His area of expertise is helping those with PTSD and issues with reintegration.
He is happily married to his best friend Lisa, they have six grown children, and seven grandchildren.
