Tuesdays at the J is a group for individuals and couples ages 55-plus who meet weekly to enjoy presentations on a variety of topics. Past programs have included live musical performances by local musicians and art presentations by museum docents and artists, as well as presentations by authors and more. All sessions are free and no membership is required. The program starts at 10 a.m. with refreshments and the presentations are 10:30-11:30 a.m.

About the speaker
Gabriel “Gabe” Forsberg held the position of Strategic Planner/State Women Veteran’s Coordinator with the Arizona Department of Veteran Services until her retirement in 2013. She was a key liaison for the department with the veteran and military communities in Arizona, elected officials, and the general public. She served in the Louisiana and Arkansas National Guard from 1973 until 1976. She got her Masters in Public Administration during her 16 years with the ADVS.
Gabe’s s biggest annual projects are scriptwriter for the Arizona Veterans Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony Planning Committee, coordinating the Bereavement Cart program at the Phoenix VA Health Care System, rep for the VA Volunteer Services for three veterans service organizations, board member on two veteran service organizations, and sitting on the ADVS Women Veteran Advisory Committee. Her current veteran service organizations are the Army Women United Chapter #68; the Salt River Unit of the Military Women Across the Nation; The Mission Continues – Phoenix Platoon; Team Red, White and Blue; Copper State Jewish War Veterans Post #619; American Legion Auxiliary #134, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary #1433.
