Tuesdays at the J is a group for individuals and couples ages 55-plus who meet weekly to enjoy presentations on a variety of topics. The program starts with refreshments and conversation at 10 a.m. and the presentation starts at 10:30 a.m. Free, registration required.
Dec. 5: Inspiration and Stages in My Painting Process
A presentation with local artist Tal Dvir
Tal will demonstrate his work using soft pastels, as he answers questions and discusses his work and life as a full-time artist, as well as the teaching methods he’s developed over the years.
Tal Dvir started drawing and painting as a child and at age 16 was admitted to the prestigious Witzo School of Art in Tel Aviv. From 1989 to 1994, Tal attended Meimad and Kalisher visual art schools, also located in Tel Aviv. He studied under several accomplished local artists and then moved with his family to the U.S. in 2006. His work has been displayed in Tel Aviv, California and Arizona. He currently lives in Arizona with is wife and two children. See his work at taldvir.com.
