Introduction to Jewish Genealogy

Introduction to Jewish Genealogy
with Judi Gyory Missel
Monday, Jan. 5 | 10 a.m.
Genealogy is the study of one’s ancestors using all kinds of records and tools to understand the story of their everyday lives. Jewish Genealogy specifically is often complicated by where our ancestors lived and the languages they spoke. However, solving the puzzle of your family is ultimately a rewarding experience for you and your descendants. This introduction to Jewish Genealogy will give you a basic overview of what is possible and how to begin your genealogy journey.
Please join Judi Gyory Missel for this one hour, in-person introductory class at the EVJCC. She will continue with a more in-depth four-week free online class series on how to conduct your own genealogy research. These classes will be on Zoom beginning February 3, 2026. Learn more here.
