Howard Gershkowitz’s journey to become a published author started nearly eight years ago, when at age 55 he decided to go back to school to work on his creative writing skills. His presentation covers the period surrounding the writing, editing, submission and release of his debut novel, “The Operator,” and includes various insights into the nature of becoming a writer.
Howard Gershkowitz’s work has appeared in print and online, in such prestigious publications as Michigan State University’s quarterly The Offbeat and the Arizona Consortium of the Art’s Blue Guitar.
