The Merchant of Venice

Sunday, Sept. 13 | 1 p.m.

Watch a screening of a performance of a Sephardic adaptation of William Shakespeare’s “The Merchant of Venice” that features Ladino music from that era.

After the performance, attend a Q&A with actor David Serero, who plays the role of Shylock.

David Serero is a singer, actor, producer and recording artist. He has appeared in more than 2,500 concerts and performances in more than 45 countries. He has starred in over 100 films and TV series, recorded over 50 albums and played more than 50 lead and title roles (in several languages) from the opera, theaters and musicals repertoire. He is a Sephardic Jew from Morocco who was born in Paris and now lives in New York.
