In an effort to assist working parents, the East Valley JCC has launched a new program, All Day @ the J.

Many school districts are starting the school year online, creating a childcare dilemma for parents who are unable to work from home. Initially the EVJCC extended its summer camp two weeks to Aug. 14 after Gov. Doug Ducey ordered that schools should not open until Aug. 17. The camp extension offered a solution for students at schools that were delaying their start date with an option for children who were starting earlier with online learning.

This option provides a designated space for children who are doing online schoolwork and/or attending online classes. During their off time, they can join in camp activities with others.

The EVJCC follows CDC guidelines for COVID-19 including keeping children in small groups and having a strict sanitization policy, so this program provides both a safe and social option.  Learn more about the enhanced health and safety protocols here.

All Day @ the J continues the same format of offering technical support and monitoring for students working online while offering activities during their school breaks.

The program is for students in grades 1-5 who are able to work independently. Hours are 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m., with before and after care available from 7-8 a.m. and 3:30-6 p.m.

Cost is $150/week or $45 a day. Cost for before- and after-care is $15/hour.

Space is limited and a minimum number of students is required to hold the program.

Register by Aug. 13 by calling 480-897-0588 or filling out the form below.
