Passover Seder Dinner

During Passover, certain foods are prohibited, including all chametz, or leaven (fermentation), and the five grains of wheat, barley, spelt, rye and oats. In addition, some Jews also refrain from eating rice, legumes, corn and corn products.

"Kosher for Passover" foods are products made without these ingredients and without any fermentation taking place. Matzo is always served during Passover, in compliance with the biblical refrain from eating rice, legumes, corn and corn products. Matzo is always served during Passover, in compliance with the biblical command that matzo (unleavened bread) be eaten.
