Centercare (Infants/Toddlers)

The Barness Family East Valley Jewish Community Center's infant and toddler daycare program, Centercare, provides high-quality full- or part-time childcare for children 6 weeks through 28 months. Separate infant and toddler areas are staffed at low ratios by loving, experienced caregivers. Our Centercare is guided by the high standards of NAEYC and holds to the standards that they outline.
Infant Room
At the JCC we understand the emotions experienced by parents separating from infants. Our infant room staff provides a warm, nurturing environment which will help to ease your mind during this period of separation.
Our caregivers pay careful attention to your instructions regarding feedings, naps, diapering and other concerns. Information about your child's day is communicated to you through the use of a daily written record and by personal contact. A variety of activities will fill your child's day, including quiet and active play, fine and gross motor activities and visual and auditory stimulation.
Toddler Room
Children who are at least one year old and walking steadily are ready for our toddler program. The special developmental, social, intellectual and physical needs of your child are met through cooperative group and parallel play, large and small motor skill activities and language development. According to individual readiness and parents' instructions, we work with our toddlers to develop self-help skills in eating and toilet raining. Children will participate in dramatic play, music, arts and crafts, science and food experiences...all geared to their level of interest and ability.
Centercare is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
