Cultural Art Series: Television and Jewish Types

The final lecture of this series scheduled for Tuesday, December 12, will examine how Jews have been portrayed in America's favorite entertainment medium, television. Off to Atlanta

Teachers at NAEYC     This year's conference of the national Association for the Education of Young Children was held in Atlanta, Georgia November 7-11. Three teachers from the JCC School were there to participate in continuing education seminars designed especially for teachers who work with young children. Hadassah Baldinger (three year olds), Richelle Auge (kindergarten) and Deena Charnofsky (1st grade) came back from the conference energized and fall of new ideas which will enhance their classrooms. They brought lots of materials of materials to share with back staff who weren't able to attend.
The JCC School has been accredited by the NAEYC for over 6 years and is currently seeking a second reaccredidation.

Miracle of Miracles

Help send children to Jewish Day Schools such as the TCJCC Day School's 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades, as well as our kindergarten classes. Last year our school received almost $30,000 in scholarship money from the Jewish Community Day School Scholarship Fund. Arizona offers any taxpayer a dollar for dollar State income tax credit for contributions up to $500 to private school scholarship funds. Your state liability goes down by the amount you give. It's a win, win situation which directly helps students at our school. Pre-addressed envelopes are available at the JCC office.

Youth Clubs

We will not be holding our youth clubs this month, but please join us for our Family Night at the Phoenix Zoo Lights.
