Early Childhood Learning Center

at the East Valley JCC

Welcome to the East Valley JCC, a NAEYC accredited Early Childhood learning center! We understand that choosing your child’s early childhood experience is one of the most important decisions you will make.

Your child’s relationships and experiences during his or her early years have a significant impact on their lifelong growth and development. Our program provides developmentally appropriate learning opportunities for these formative years.

The legacy of the Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) at the JCC began more than 40 years ago in the East Valley. From a group of Jewish families looking to make connections, grew an early childhood program that continues to be outstanding. Second generations are now calling the ECLC “their school.”

We are committed to creating a well-rounded, safe and nurturing environment that provides your child with all of the components necessary for his or her emotional, social, physical and cognitive development. Additionally, the ECLC fosters creativity, curiosity, an understanding of Judaic identity and values, along with individual diversity and a passion for learning. We strive to meet the needs of all of our children and families regardless of race, religion, culture or abilities and we will join with you to create a solid foundation for your child's future learning success.

Creating a sense of community relationships and fostering open communication with families is very important to our program. Working together helps us to meet your family’s and child’s needs with the highest quality of care. Our goals for each child are:

  • To continuously attend to the needs of each child keeping them safe, happy, and comfortable throughout the day.
  • To develop each child’s independence, confidence, and a feeling of self-worth.
  • To stimulate each child’s curiosity, sense of wonder, and motivation to learn about the world around them by establishing an age-appropriate, hands-on and stimulating environment.
  • To develop in children social responsibility by teaching goodwill towards others and respect for the environment.
  • To develop in children a love for music, art, and dramatic arts.
  • To give young children and their families a sense of Jewish identity and culture.
  • To nurture developmentally appropriate, cognitive and physical skills in the following areas: language, listening, visual discrimination, large and small motor, handwriting, math and science.
